Aries Season Monthly Forecast
Lunar eclipse in Libra, Venus and Mars both conjunct Saturn in Pisces, Mercury retrograde in Aries, solar eclipse in Aries, Venus into Aries, and Jupiter and Uranus near a conjunction in Taurus!
Aries season is finally here, and change is in the air. We’ve got two eclipses and a Mercury retrograde coming up this month, so expect some major shifts to take place across the Aries and Libra houses of your chart. These might be obvious, external changes, like finding a new job or moving homes, or these transits could manifest more subtly, like having a mindset shift around a particular situation, or maybe you’re uncovering a new sense of identity or developing hobbies and projects that you aren’t quite ready to show the world yet. The eclipses mark a pivotal turning point in the year, so expect to feel a bit differently as we head into the spring and summer.
To rewind a bit though, the underlying theme for the next four weeks is that the sun will be moving through Aries from March 20 - April 19. Aries season is the astrological new year, so it carries with it this theme of wanting to be assertive and feeling more motivated. You could be ready to initiate or take a risk in an area of your life, or you just have extra energy and enthusiasm that maybe you had been lacking in recent weeks. Rather than procrastinating, now is the time to be direct about what you want and go after that.
The first major event to take place this Aries season is the lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25. This lunar eclipse is happening at 5 degrees of Libra, so anyone with early Aries or Libra planets or angles (0-10 degrees) will be feeling this eclipse the most. A lunar eclipse represents a culmination of activity, and may have you realizing what you want to change or release in the Libra ruled house of your chart. Keep in mind that the effects of an eclipse tend to play out over a six month period. We had a Libra solar eclipse in October 2023, so now we’re coming full circle at the lunar eclipse in late March. You may be seeing visible results or having an important realization about whatever new chapter was initiated back in the fall.
Though we are now in Aries season, there are still some key Pisces transits taking place. Venus continues to move through Pisces until April 5, and Mars enters Pisces on March 23 and doesn’t leave this sign until the beginning of May. Important dates to note with these two transits is when they both come into contact with Saturn, reigniting the themes of the three year long Saturn in Pisces transit for a couple of days. Venus is connecting with Saturn on March 21-22, and Mars connects with Saturn on April 10-11. Expect to feel a bit more pressure or stress at those times, or you could be figuring out how to develop better structures or get clear on what commitments are important to you in the Pisces ruled house of your chart.
In addition, Venus and Mars are the planetary rulers of both of the eclipses, with Venus ruling Libra and Mars ruling Aries. At the time of the Libra eclipse, the ruler Venus will be conjunct Saturn. And at the time of the Aries eclipse, the ruler Mars will also be conjunct Saturn. Therefore, Saturn remains a key player this month too. With the Libra eclipse and Venus/Saturn conjunction, you might be further committing to a relationship or supporting someone close to you, or you could be scaling back on who you want in your life. You may also want to get more organized when it comes to your personal finances. Fortunately, Venus is the sign of its exaltation, bringing about more favorable results if you’re willing to put the hard work in. On the other hand, Mars doesn’t do as well in Pisces, so you may be a bit frustrated around the time of the April 8 solar eclipse, or you could be slowing down and waiting for the right moment to act on something new.
Once we reach April, there is an increased emphasis on the Aries ruled house of your chart. There will be a Mercury retrograde taking place in Aries from April 1 - April 25. You may have recurring thoughts about a specific situation in your life, or you may notice that it is harder to get ahead with new opportunities and projects. Return to anything you’ve already started and either work on finishing it, or go back and make edits or revisions. This would also be a good time to reach out to old friends or gain closure from a past relationship. Again, check the Aries ruled house of your chart to see where you may be experiencing confusion, delays, or a concentration of your mental energy around this time. April 11 is when the Sun and Mercury meet up at 22 degrees of Aries, marking the midpoint of the retrograde, so you will likely be finding greater clarity and direction around then.
In addition, Venus moves into Aries on April 5. You may be outgoing when dating and socializing, and you could have greater energy to devote to this areas of your life. You could be practicing being assertive and direct in your relationships too, but you may also be impatient with a friend or romantic partner. With Venus in the sign of its fall, it may require more effort to compromise and collaborate with others.
Then we reach the solar eclipse in Aries on April 8, which will take place at 19 degrees of Aries. People with Aries angles or planets right around that point will feel the effects of this eclipse the most. For everyone though, you’re checking the Aries ruled house of your chart to see where either a major ending or an ending might be taking place. This is another chapter unfolding in the story that was started last spring with the first eclipse in this sign. Again, the effects of what this eclipse represents for you will play out over the next six months, so you may not see anything that major take place on the exact date of April 8. A solar eclipse lacks visibility, so it may not be entirely clear of what is about to unfold in that part of your life. It’s important to note that this solar eclipse is exactly conjunct Chiron, and the ruler of the eclipse, Mars, is conjunct Saturn in Pisces, like I mentioned above. You might be facing deep seated insecurities, actively healing an aspect of yourself, or you may feel the need to get your priorities straight and actually put plans in place to accomplish your goals. This eclipse may require a lot of hard work on your part.
Finally, we close out Aries season with Jupiter swiftly approaching a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus. Though this conjunction technically doesn’t go exact until the first day of Taurus season, it’s getting very very close at the end of Aries season, especially around April 13-19. Expect to see change, growth and innovation take place in the Taurus ruled house of your chart as we head into the second half of April. You may also be seeking greater independence and freedom in that part of your life.
Now that we’ve gone over the key transits for Aries season, let’s get into what all of this means for your individual rising sign…
