Aries Season Monthly Forecast
The Sun, Mars, and Mercury all move to Aries and connect with Saturn and Neptune, full moon in Libra, Venus into Taurus, new moon in Aries conjunct Chiron, and more!
Happy Aries season!!
We made it past the eclipses, and Mercury retrograde also ends today. Therefore, you can expect less chaos as we enter Aries season, although there may still be some tension and challenges that come up as the Sun and Mars both meet up with Saturn and Neptune over the next few weeks.
First, I’ll be going over all of the major transits happening over the next month, and then paid subscribers can keep reading to find out what this means for your individual rising sign. There are about 2000-2500 words written per each rising, so you can think of it as a written reading that you can refer back to over the course of the next month. If you would rather listen to the overview of the transits for the month ahead, that’s always available to do on my podcast, Astrology with Alice, where I break down the monthly astrology, week by week.
The main underlying theme for the next month is that the Sun will be moving through Aries from March 20 - April 19 (or April 20 for time zones ahead of America). General themes that often pop up during Aries season have to do with learning how to be more direct and assertive. You might be developing better leadership skills in an area of your life, or you may be eager to start up new ideas, projects, and opportunities. However, you may be a bit impatient, so with whatever you do end up starting, try to keep in mind that good things often take time. Especially with Saturn now in Aries, you may need to be more strategic and patient with whatever you might be initiating.
The first week of Aries season may prove to be tricky, as the Sun in Aries will meet up with Neptune and then Saturn in this sign. You will feel these conjunctions, one after the other, the most intensely from March 20 - 25. You may feel slowed down or frustrated for a several day period, or you may encounter feelings of self doubt. It could take a little longer than usual to find those energetic Aries qualities, and in the Aries ruled house of your chart, there may be a situation, relationship, or opportunity that needs to change or possibly end, so that you can start building something new there.
On March 20, Mercury retrograde ends at 8 degrees of Pisces. This retrograde had been ongoing in Pisces since the end of February, so as we move into late March and early April, you may face less confusion in the Pisces ruled house of your chart. You might be met with more ideas there, and you could start seeing things come together with greater momentum in that part of your life. Mercury will remain in Pisces until April 15, so there are still several weeks for you to tie up any loose ends, address miscommunication issues that may have come up, or get plans together in this area.
Then we don’t get any other major planetary shifts for several days until Venus leaves Aries and moves into Taurus on March 30 - April 24. Taurus is a great place for Venus to be in, as it is one of the signs Venus rules. It may feel like relationships of all types are flowing more easily during this time, or you could be more creatively inspired. You may also want to treat yourself without feeling guilty about spending money, and you may be more drawn to shopping, dining out, or having other nice experiences.
A full moon in Libra occurs on April 1, happening at 12 degrees of this sign. You may see the most activity happen this month in the days that immediately surround this full moon, and it could be a period of coming together with people and feeling closer to your community or in certain relationships. You could also feel ready to announce any projects you’ve been developing, or you may hear back about an opportunity or certain news that you’ve been waiting on. The ruling planet of this full moon is Venus, which as we just went over is now in Taurus. Therefore, expect to see positive results or feel more optimistic in both the Libra and Taurus ruled houses of your chart right around April 1. The themes of each of these two houses may end up influencing each other too.
In addition, this full moon in Libra will square Jupiter in Cancer. The Sun in Aries will continue to build to an exact square with Jupiter up until April 5, so the first few days of April are super pleasant with support from both benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter. You may be inspired to travel, learn something new, write, or come up with ideas to teach around this time.
Unfortunately, this sense of peace and optimism won’t last for the rest of the month. On April 9, Mars moves into Aries until May 18. The first few days of Mars being in Aries will be challenging. Just as the Sun did at the very start of Aries season, Mars will first come into a conjunction with Neptune on April 12, before meeting up with Saturn on April 19. So those similar themes of feeling frustrated, possibly burned out, or doubting what you’re working on may resurface again for several days. It may also be that you experience greater feelings of anger or outrage at something, and you may need to find healthier ways to express these emotions. On a lighter note, it could just be that you’re working hard at one specific task or project, and it’s requiring a lot of energy from you.
Mercury also moves into Aries on April 15, quickly meeting up with Mars. The trickiest period out of this entire Aries season looks like this date range from April 9 - 20, as Mercury and Mars come into contact with Saturn and Neptune. With Mercury here specifically, I would be careful about how your words come across. Try not to confront someone super impulsively, and if you find yourself getting heated in a conversation, you may need to take some space to cool off.
The new moon in Aries occurs on April 17 at 27 degrees, which will also amplify the Mars transit as Mars is the ruling planet of this lunation. So the new moon may test you a lot more than the full moon did two weeks prior. At the time of this new moon, Mercury, Mars, and Saturn will all be in a triple conjunction. There are a couple of ways this may play out. One is that you may be initiating something new in the Aries ruled house of your chart, but it is taking a lot longer than you realized, or requiring more effort and patience on your part. Plans may even get slightly delayed or need to be reworked a bit. It could also be that you want to part ways with a situation that you don’t see lasting in the long term.
In addition, the new moon will be conjunct Chiron in Aries, so it could bring up insecurities that you still need to work on healing, or you may be actively working on moving past fears or mindsets that hold you back. So we’re not ending Aries season on the most pleasant of notes, but that’s where Taurus season will come in and create more peace!
