Gemini Season Monthly Forecast
Sun, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter into Gemini, full moon in Sagittarius, Mars into Taurus, Jupiter also trining Pluto, new moon in Gemini square to Saturn, and Mercury and Venus into Cancer!
It is finally Gemini season, the period of 2024 I have been looking forward to most! There’s a lot going on astrologically over the next month, but overall, June is looking to be one of the most positive months out of the year.
The main underlying transit that is taking place is that the sun is moving through Gemini from May 20 - June 20. In addition to the sun, there is actually a stellium of planets moving through Gemini this month, as we will get into below. Gemini themes that will be prominent over the next several weeks will be about wanting to connect with people and working on your communication skills. You may also find yourself being more curious or full of ideas. This would be a great time to travel or try out a new experience in your city, and you may want to change up your regular routine to have more variety in your life.
The first major event to take place this month is the full moon in Sagittarius happening on May 23 (9:52am EST). It’s taking place at 2 degrees of Sagittarius, so people with mutable sign placements (angles or planets in Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo) right around this 2 degree marker will likely feel the impacts of this full moon the most. For everyone though, Sagittarius topics like education, foreign travel, spirituality, writing or teaching may be called into focus right around the end of May. You may want to learn more about the world, or your life beliefs might be shifting.
The ruling planet of Sagittarius, Jupiter, is conjunct Venus at the time of the full moon, with both planets at the very final degrees of Taurus. And even though Jupiter doesn’t make a sign based aspect to the sun and moon, it’s still very close to the full moon. This is truly amazing, and it will likely bring up feelings of optimism and abundance in the few days surrounding the 23rd.
After Venus meets up with Jupiter in Taurus, it quickly moves into Gemini later on May 23. Then on May 25, Jupiter moves into Gemini until June 9, 2025. This is a huge transit, one that will define your next year, and which I talked about on length on my podcast in the 2 part episode I did on Jupiter transits. Also, having both benefics, Venus and Jupiter, moving through Gemini for this month specifically means that a lot of positive opportunities and growth will be brought to that Gemini ruled house of your chart.
On June 2, Jupiter will come into an exact trine with Pluto in Aquarius. With these two longer transits coming into an alignment, you can expect technological advancements to speed up over the coming months. The way we communicate with each other, either online or in person, might be changing as well, and it will be interesting to see if new jobs are created in Gemini associated industries, like media and journalism.
Meanwhile, Mercury is in Taurus until June 3, where it will be sextiling Saturn in Pisces on May 27 and then coming into a conjunction with Uranus on May 31. You will still be putting careful thought into the Taurus ruled house of your chart, and you might be planning ahead for your future there or having conversations around the long term potential of a certain relationship or situation. You may receive surprise news or have sudden developments take place in that area of your life too.
Continuing with the Taurus transits, on June 9, Mars will move into Taurus until the end of July. With this transit, it’s very much slow and steady wins the race energy. Where Mars in Aries was about making quick decisions, speaking up, and acting immediately, Mars in Taurus will have you slowing down and spending more time developing only one or two things at a time. You may also want to put energy into Taurean activities, like taking care of your body, cooking, getting outside, and doing hands on activities or crafts. However, Mars will come into a square with Pluto in Aquarius on June 11. In the couple of days surrounding this date, you may have feelings of intense irritation or anger come up, or you could want to swiftly cut something or someone out of your life who isn’t serving you. You may also run into power struggles with someone, or you could be very focused and fixated on achieving whatever goals you’ve set.
Let’s back things up a bit though. On June 6, there is a new moon in Gemini. The new moon takes place at 16 degrees of this sign and will occur at 8:37am EST. People with Gemini chart placements right around 16 degrees will feel the effects of the new moon in a more significant way, but for everyone, this new moon will usher in a new chapter in the Gemini ruled house of your chart. It will again emphasize those Gemini themes of communication, travel, and connecting with people too. In addition, this new moon will be conjunct Venus, so it will highlight relationships. In fact, that whole first week of June may end up being very social for you, or something pivotal in a relationship or in dating might be taking place.
On top of this, Mercury will have moved into Gemini on June 3, so it will help having the ruling planet of this new moon in its home sign. Both the full moon and the new moon this month are so positive and supportive in helping you realize whatever you’re putting your energy towards at the moment. However, the new moon will also be squaring Saturn in Pisces. So on the other hand, you may encounter some feelings of frustration, or you could run into delays or have to put in extra effort into a certain area. You could also be working to build upon a new mindset, habit, relationship, or work project that has the potential to go the distance. This square will also bring in those longer, underlying themes of Saturn moving through the Pisces ruled house of your chart.
In the days surrounding June 14, Mercury, Venus and the Sun will all cluster right around the same few degrees in Gemini. Again, this will emphasize the themes of human connection, and you may find yourself having very pleasant interactions with people. This would be a great time to date or attend some type of social event or bring people together yourself. Also, if you’re a writer or if speaking plays heavily into your job, this would be a perfect few day period to make progress on that type of work.
Finally, we close out Gemini season with both Venus and Mercury moving into Cancer on June 17. So the majority of Gemini season will be very social and active, and by the time we get to this date you may find yourself wanting to stick closer to home or only hanging out with people you care deeply for.
