Happy Pisces season!
This newsletter marks a full year of doing these monthly forecasts. I started with Aries season last spring, and I can’t believe we’ve come full circle and are already at Pisces. Here’s to another year of me improving upon how I interpret these monthly transits for you. When I’m writing them, I want them to feel like a mini reading that you can refer back to over the course of the next month.
Let’s get into it. First, I’ll be detailing the upcoming transits for this Pisces season, then I will go over what all of these transits mean for your individual rising sign.
The main underlying transit taking place this month is that the Sun is moving through Pisces from February 19 - March 20. Pisces is the last sign in the zodiac, so this season carries with it a feeling of closing something out, going within, and having lower energy. It’s also a time where you may be more sensitive or emotional. Over the coming weeks, try to engage in activities that tie back to creativity or spirituality. If you don’t really feel motivated to initiate a lot of new projects or ideas right now, don’t stress yourself out. Energy will return once Aries season arrives in a month from now.
What’s notable about this Pisces season is that the Sun will be moving into the same sign as Saturn. The Sun will be coming into a conjunction with Saturn about a week into Pisces season, so whatever themes are coming up for you this month based on what house this is happening in your chart are likely bigger topics that are on your mind for an entire three year period (March 2023 - February 2026). The Sun is reawakening the themes of that longer Saturn transit through Pisces.
From February 20 - 23, Venus and Mars will be right at the same degree of Aquarius in a very close conjunction. This conjunction between these two planets only happens once every two years, so the last time this occurred was in the spring of 2022. However, in June of 2023, Venus and Mars got very close to each other in the sign of Leo, which is the sign and house in your chart opposite to Aquarius. Therefore, you may notice similar themes popping up that were present back in June as we head into the end of February and early March. There may be a desire to put more energy into relationship related activities, or you could be addressing conflict or underlying frustration, either in a romantic relationship or a close friendship. This could also be a several day period where you’re spending a lot more money than usual, kind of impulsively.
On a more positive note, both Venus and Mars will be applying to a square with Jupiter from about February 23- February 27. So you may receive positive news or exciting opportunities for growth across the Taurus and Aquarius ruled houses of your chart during this time. You could also feel restless in these areas of your life, and you may have a desire to have greater freedom there. Later on in Pisces season, around March 3 - March 10, first Venus then Mars will square Uranus. So again, that will shake things up in the Taurus and Aquarius ruled houses of your chart. Expect the unexpected, as some much needed change will likely be occurring in these two areas of your life.
To rewind a bit though, also on February 23, Mercury will move into Pisces until March 9. Its stay in this sign will be very brief. This is not the best transit for focusing on detailed information and numbers. Instead, you may be thinking more with the creative side of your brain, and your intuition could feel especially strong for a couple week period. Your dreams might be extra vivid, or the conversations you’re having with people are more heartfelt and deep during this time.
February 24 will bring a full moon in Virgo, which will snap your attention back to your work, your health, and your routine. You may be super focused on self improvement around this time, or you could be reflecting on what work is the most meaningful to you. You may feel motivated to implement healthier everyday habits for yourself, like eating well or exercising regularly. Be wary of being overly self critical though or too much of a perfectionist. The days surrounding this full moon will be the busiest period out of the coming month, so it would be great to plan launches at work around this time, or you may want to get a group activity on the calendar.
The full moon will be in close alignment with Saturn, so you could be reflecting on your long commitments, and what you want to put energy towards You may feel restricted though, or that there are challenges to overcome in a certain area of your life. You could be met with the harsh reality of a situation, which may differ from what you wished something might be. This is not the easiest full moon energy, and you could have to work extra hard around this time, completing all of the tedious tasks you may have been putting off.
Around February 27 - 28, the Sun and Mercury will both meet up with Saturn in Pisces, amplifying all of the above Saturnian themes I just went over. This couple day period may be especially frustrating, and it may feel like you just can’t catch a break. You may feel weighed down by work, or maybe you’re annoyed with a setback or something getting delayed. In addition, you could feel a bit emotionally heavy or tired in the wake of all the activity that has come in the days leading up to this point.
March 10 brings a new moon in Pisces, which will serve as a reset and fresh start. If you didn’t notice things fully coming together in the Pisces ruled house of your chart earlier on in Pisces season, expect to see developments take place there at this new moon and in the days that immediately follow it. The main aspect the new moon is making is a loose conjunction with Neptune in Pisces, so there may be an element of confusion that’s going on around this time. You might be unsure of what you need to be putting your energy towards, or you could feel a bit sensitive about a situation going on. Engaging in calming creative or spiritual endeavors is the best use of your time around this date. This Neptunian energy will be felt the most intensely right around March 16 - March 17, when the Sun moves into an exact alignment with Neptune.
Also on March 10, Mercury will move into Aries. This is the sign where Mercury will station retrograde in Aries season, so Mercury will be in this sign, and therefore house of your chart, until May 15! That’s a long time, considering Mercury’s usual transit is just 3-4 weeks in a sign. Over the next couple of months, you may be more direct in your communication, or you’re energized to learn new information and develop writing or speaking related work. Ideas might be coming to you quickly, and you could want to act on them as soon as inspiration hits. On March 19, Mercury will meet up with the North Node in Aries, reawakening those longer nodal transit themes for you. The Aries ruled house of your chart is about to become extremely activated the further we get into the spring, so this Mercury transit is just the beginning.
On March 11, Venus moves into Pisces for several weeks. Pisces is a sign that Venus thrives in. Venus can reach its full potential of creativity, appreciation for beauty, and compassion for others while it’s moving through this sign. However, Venus in Pisces does have a tendency to idealize romantic interests or put other people’s problems first. Try not to get too carried away in a fantasy of who someone could be, rather than looking at them for who they really are at this time. You may need to remind yourself to take a more grounded and realistic approach to both your love life and your personal finances as we head into the second half of March.
Okay, that’s it for the major Pisces season transits. Now let’s get into what all of this means for your individual rising sign…
