Pisces Season Monthly Forecast
A lunar eclipse in Virgo, Mercury retrograde begins, the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars all move through Pisces, a new moon, and more!
Happy first day of Pisces season!
This is about to be an action packed month, with most of the significant events taking place right at the start of March. We are very much in the midst of eclipses right now, so expect to still see significant changes and a noticeable shift in your priorities happening as we enter Pisces season. The changes or realizations brought about by these eclipses will continue to play out over the next several months.
In addition, Mercury retrograde is gearing up to begin, so the beginning of Pisces season may start off on kind of a chaotic note, but by the end of the month, you will notice things calming down a lot more. A big theme to consider over the coming days might have to do with letting go of what isn’t working in your life anymore, even if you’re still uncertain about what comes next.
As usual, I will first be going over all of the major transits for the next month, and then paid subscribers can read on to see what all of this means for their individual rising sign. You can think of these in depth monthly horoscopes as being a written reading that you can keep referring back to it over the next month. Also, the podcast version of the monthly transits will be out tomorrow wherever you listen to podcasts.
The main underlying transit for Pisces season is that the Sun is moving through Pisces from February 18 - March 20. We also start off Pisces season with Mercury and Venus in Pisces, before Mars joins later in the month. Key themes to keep in mind over the next month with these Pisces transits are spirituality, creativity, compassion, and connection. You may find yourself craving deeper conversations in your relationships, or you may be more giving toward other people. It could be that you’re learning to trust your own intuition more, and this may be a time of wanting to deepen your astrological studies, or get back into a journaling practice or connecting with your higher self through journaling or meditation. In addition, you may find yourself creatively inspired in new ways, whether that’s through an arts and craft project you’re working on, or through the movies you’re watching and books you’re reading, or you could want to experiment with your style.
On February 26, Mercury stations retrograde at 22 degrees of Pisces. Mercury will be retrograde until March 20, when it will lift at 8 degrees of Pisces. So anyone with Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, or Sagittarius chart placements right around 8-22 degrees will feel the effects of this retrograde the most. The retrograde starts off positive, with Mercury making a conjunction to Venus from February 27-28. That may fuel you with creative ideas or an interest in a spiritual pursuit, but then as we enter March, you may get confused about where to best direct your energy or how a project or opportunity may end up developing. Communication issues may surface in relationships too, or you could be having recurring thoughts about a situation or relationship that is bothering you. Work may get slowed down in the first half of March too, or you may need to revisit something first in order to move ahead again with a clearer sense of direction. Around March 6-7, you could receive a bit of clarity in the Pisces ruled house of your chart, when Mercury meets up with the Sun, marking the halfway point of the retrograde.
On March 2, Mars enters Pisces, joining all of these other planets already there. Mars will be in Pisces until April 9, so just a little over a month. Again, having Mars enter this sign may motivate you to take action on creative or spiritual interests. However, it may be harder to make organized plans or pay attention to very specific details, or you may need to feel a strong emotional connection to something in order for you to want to commit to it. You may be more selective about where you direct your energy during this time.
March 3 brings a lunar eclipse in Virgo. This eclipse will be taking place at 12 degrees of Virgo, so anyone who has chart placements right around this degree marker (or in other mutable signs) will feel this eclipse more intensely. For everyone though, this eclipse will bring up greater activity and important realizations in the Virgo ruled house of your chart. There might be something you’re letting go of in this area, or there may be sudden developments that occur there in the weeks that follow the eclipse. This eclipse is the third of four eclipses we are experiencing in Virgo from March 2025- February 2027, so themes surfacing at this time likely won’t feel new to you, and may just be a continuation of a story that has been unfolding over the last year. Note how you’re building upon realizations you may have already made in 2025.
The ruling planet of the eclipse is Mercury, which will be retrograde in Pisces at this time - really not an ideal location for Mercury. Therefore, you could be facing confusion surrounding planning for the future in the Virgo ruled house of your chart, or you may have to go back and revisit a past situation in order to move forward more effectively. Plans in this area may also get delayed or take a different turn than expected. The saving grace with this eclipse will be the sextile it makes to Jupiter in Cancer, so at the same time things may feel slow or frustrating, you could still feel like whatever you’re either developing or releasing from your life is helping you to grow in the long term.
On March 6, Venus leaves Pisces and moves into Aries. Venus will be in Aries until March 30, which may have you wanting to be more proactive about dating and socializing, and you could be eager to try out new hobbies and experiences. However, right upon entering Aries, Venus will run into Saturn and Neptune from March 6-8, which will put some tension on Venusian related topics. There may be frustration that you’re feeling in a friendship or romantic relationship, and you may be realizing what relationships you value and who is most deserving of your time and energy. It could also be that you feel a bit anxious about finances at this time, and you could want to be smarter with your purchases. Another way this transit may play out is that you may want to be more productive with your creativity, and find ways to bring your point of view into your work or a concrete project you’re developing.
After a super busy start to Pisces season, we won’t have any major transits happening again until March 18, when we wrap up Pisces season with a new moon in Pisces. This new moon will occur at 28 degrees of Pisces, so if you have Pisces chart placements right around this degree mark, you may notice a new start unfolding there in the coming weeks. For everyone, you’ll notice how the themes of the Pisces ruled house of your chart get intensified around this new moon date. After having the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars move through Pisces the last few weeks, you may finally see an opportunity come through or a new project or relationship get established in this area of your life.
The ruling planet of this new moon is Jupiter, which is currently in Cancer, the sign of its exaltation. So whereas the lunar eclipse earlier in the month looks pretty chaotic, by the time this new moon occurs at the very end of Pisces season, it looks like there is relief in the Pisces house of your chart and something may get resolved there. In addition, Mercury retrograde is about to come to a close by this point, which will happen on the first day of Aries season. However, maybe by these last couple of days of Pisces season, you’re already starting to feel more certain about what comes next.
Let’s now get into what all of these transits mean for each rising sign!
