Sagittarius Season Monthly Forecast
Sun and Mars move into Sagittarius and square Saturn, full moon in Gemini, Venus conjunct South Node, Mercury into Capricorn, Venus into Scorpio, new moon in Sagittarius, Mercury retrograde begins
Welcome back to another monthly forecast newsletter. Like always, I will first be going over all the major transits that are taking place during Sagittarius season, before we get into what that means for your specific rising sign. Good news is that there are no more eclipses this month, but there is a Mercury retrograde coming in December, and there will be some tense new and full moons configured with Mars.
The major underlying theme for the next month though is that the sun will be moving through Sagittarius, from November 22 - December 21. The sun will be joining Mercury, which has already been in Sagittarius for a couple of weeks by this point, and Mars will join when it moves into Sagittarius on November 24. So there’s a lot of energy that will be directed towards the Sagittarius ruled house of chart over the next several weeks. You might be investing more energy into education and learning, or you could be pondering bigger pictures themes in life, like your spirituality, overall life purpose, or political views. You may also be more inspired to read, write, and share your knowledge with others. However, try not to force your opinions onto people, and keep an open mind even if someone holds vastly different beliefs than your own that you don’t agree with. Try to see these situations as necessary learning lessons.
Right when the sun and Mars move into Sagittarius though, they will immediately square Saturn in Pisces. There will be a few day period, from about November 22-27, when that square will be felt the most intensely. You could have a lot of work piling on, or you may encounter frustration or stress with a certain situation or relationship dilemma in your life. You could have to look at things more realistically, or if you’ve been procrastinating on doing work or making a decision regarding a particular situation, you will need to address that. Also, if there’s been any red flags that you’ve been avoiding regarding something in your life, those might become increasingly obvious at this time.
The next major event of the month will be the full moon in Gemini, taking place on November 27 at 4 degrees of this sign. This will not be an easy lunation, as the moon will be exactly opposite Mars and loosely square Saturn. Plus, the ruler of the full moon, Mercury, will be squaring Neptune. There might be a lot of inner tension come up, or again those themes of feeling frustrated or blocked in an area may arise. On the other hand, you could feel confused or experience feelings of self doubt. You will want to be careful of how your words come across at this time, or you may notice that other people are a bit snappier than usual. On a more positive note, you may see significant developments take place with Mercurial activities, like writing, speaking, or connecting with people.
On November 28, Venus will meet up with the South Node in Libra. You might be releasing a negative relationship pattern around this time, or you could hear from an old friend or an ex. It’s more likely someone from your past may resurface, or you’re learning to let go of a bad relationship memory you’ve been holding onto.
When we get to December 1, Mercury will move into Capricorn and is swiftly approaching its retrograde. You may be thinking more about your many responsibilities, or you’re coming up with a list of long term goals you want to achieve during that two month long period. You may find it easier to focus for longer periods of time too, or you’re interested in learning practical information that will help you out in your everyday life. Throughout December 7/8, Mercury in Capricorn will trine Jupiter in Taurus, which is a great mini transit. During that two day period, you may have numerous ideas for writing or speaking related work, or your conversations with people may center around the bigger picture themes in life, like different cultures, beliefs, or your overall purpose.
Another planetary transition takes place on December 4, with Venus moving into Scorpio for several weeks. Venus is in its detriment in this sign though, so you may notice that you have to put more effort into your relationships, both platonic and romantic. That area may just not be flowing as easily. On December 9-10 though, Venus receives a positive boost from Jupiter in Taurus, when the two oppose each other. That two day period, which luckily coincides with a weekend, would be excellent for connecting with people, going on dates, and establishing new relationships.
A new moon in Sagittarius will take place on December 12 at 20 degrees of that sign. Another lunation that falls close to Mars, so once again the Martian qualities of taking action, but maybe also being a bit impatient, pushy, or hot headed could come up. In addition, the Sagittarius qualities like education, travel, and learning that are so prevalent throughout the entire month will be intensified at this new moon. You will experience a new beginning in the Sagittarius ruled house of your chart, but there could also be an ending or a period of letting go in order to start fresh at the time of this new moon.
On December 13, Mercury stations retrograde and will be retrograde until January 1, 2024. It will start at 8 degrees of Capricorn and end at 22 degrees of Sagittarius, so anyone with late degree Sag placements and early degree Cap placements will feel this retrograde the most intensely. For everyone though, both the Sagittarius and Capricorn ruled houses of your chart indicate the areas of your life where you may notice a slowing down or a need to rework or reflect on things there.
We wrap up Sagittarius season with the sun in Sagittarius squaring Neptune in Pisces on December 16. You may feel a bit low energy at this time, or you could be comparing yourself to people more than usual. There might be a minor setback that comes up, or you’re just feeling extra sensitive. Use this time to focus on a spiritual practice or a creative hobby.
Now, let’s get into what all of these transits mean for your rising sign specifically…
