Scorpio Season Monthly Forecast
New Moon in Scorpio, Mars opposes Pluto then moves into Leo, Mercury moves into Sagittarius, and Venus into Capricorn, there's a full moon in Taurus and Saturn retrograde is ending.
Happy Scorpio season!
Though the eclipses are over, I still don’t expect this Scorpio season to be entirely smooth sailing. A lot of the action this month is taking place right at the start of November, when we get a new moon and a tense aspect between Mars and Pluto. In addition, much of Scorpio season is spent in anticipation of the Mercury and Mars retrogrades, which will begin at the top of Sagittarius season. So if you currently feel confused about what you need to be putting energy towards, or maybe you’re in more of a reflection mode, you’re definitely not alone. Like always, we will first be going over all of the significant transits taking place this Scorpio season, before I get into what everything means for each individual rising sign.
The Sun will be moving through Scorpio from October 22 - November 21. Scorpio season tends to be a more introspective time of the year, where you might be looking within and realizing what aspects of yourself you might improve upon. Are there certain attachments you need to let go of? How can you release yourself from a need to feel in control all of the time? This sign is a lot about going deeper in relationships and working on trusting and opening up to people. It’s not always the most emotionally easy time of the year though, because you are often digging up emotions you may typically avoid. There’s really not a ton going on until we get to early November. That’s when we see a lot of different astrology take place at once, especially clustered around November 1-4.
A new moon in Scorpio takes place on November 1 at 9 degrees of this sign. At this time, all of those Scorpio themes we just went over will fully go into effect. Because the new moon offers a fresh start, you may want to save any major outreach, project launches, or events until after that new moon has taken place. Once we get past November 1, we will officially be in the building phase of the month. People with chart placements around like 6-12 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio or Taurus will likely feel the effects of this new moon the most.
It’s also important to note that the ruling planet of this new moon is Mars, and Mars is not in a great position at this time. Mars will be in Cancer, the sign of its fall, and it will be exactly opposing Pluto throughout the whole first week of November. This may be a time where you might be emotionally heated, or you could notice strong reactions coming from people. There may also be a theme of control that comes up, which may prompt you to transform how you react to certain situations.
The following day, on November 2, Mercury departs Scorpio and moves into Sagittarius. This is the sign Mercury will later station retrograde in at the end of November, so this Mercury transit is extra important to track. Mercury normally spends around three weeks in a sign, but it will be in Sagittarius for over two months, until January 8. Therefore, the themes associated with that Sagittarius ruled house of your chart will be extra emphasized for you, and topics related to travel, learning, foreign cultures, or your beliefs may be up for inspection.
There is one positive transit taking place amidst all of this early November chaos. Venus in Sagittarius will oppose Jupiter in Gemini on November 3. So even though this period may be a bit emotionally difficult, there is still the opportunity to connect with friends or feel more romantic towards someone. This time period may also see you either feeling more generous and spending a lot of money, but at the same time, you might be receiving what you put out. A similar transit will also occur on November 17, when Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Jupiter. So pay attention to these two dates as good opportunities for staying open minded, learning a new skill, or putting your knowledge into writing or speaking work.
To backtrack though, Mars finally leaves Cancer and moves into Leo on November 4, the sign it will later station retrograde in at the start of December. This Mars transit is so important to watch, because it will be part of a bigger story that unfolds into the spring of 2025. Mars entering Leo may have you wanting to tap into your personal creativity more and possibly rediscovering activities and interests you loved when you were younger. It could also have you being more honest about what enjoy doing, rather than seeking validation from others.
On November 11, Venus will move into Capricorn until December 6. Around this time, you may be craving greater routine and structure in your life if that has fallen off a bit. You may also want more commitment in your relationships, like if you’re dating someone maybe you want to know where you stand. Also at work, you may feel ready to take on bigger responsibilities.
A few days later there will be a full moon in Taurus on November 15. The full moon will fall at 24 degrees of Taurus, and will be in a close conjunction with Uranus. Therefore, this full moon may bring up some unexpected changes or a much needed shift in an area of your life. You could want greater freedom and more flexibility in that Taurus ruled house of your chart, or things may feel kind of unsettled there. The ruling planet of this full moon is Venus, which will be in Capricorn by this date. So again, this full moon may have you reflecting on your responsibilities and commitments to people.
And on the same day of the full moon, Saturn stations direct in Pisces after being retrograde since the end of June. Saturn will station direct at 12 degrees of Pisces, so people with Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius placement right around this 10-15 degree range may be under some heaviness or stress come mid-November. This Saturn station will also bring up themes related to the Pisces ruled house of your chart, and you may feel ready to move forward with a different perspective in that area of your life.
Let’s now get into what all of these transits mean for each rising sign!
