Timing My Wedding with Astrology + The 8th House's Importance in Marriage

I'm getting married this week!

This is about to be a big, life changing month for me! I am getting legally married this Friday at the Manhattan courthouse, and then my actual wedding celebration is in Italy on June 8, so I thought it was the perfect timing to do a newsletter on the astrology of marriage and/or deepening relationship commitment. Even if you don’t have plans to get married anytime soon or ever, this information will still be useful to apply to romantic relationships in general, and you can use the tips I give on electing a date for other major events that come up in your life. 

I also had someone recently comment on a post I did, asking if I could include more of a nontraditional approach to relationships in my writing. The relationship oriented transits that I write about are not closed off to just monogamous, heterosexual relationships. You can use them for all types of partnerships, both romantic and platonic. For instance, a transit that comes along to the 7th house doesn’t have one specific meaning, and can be open to interpretation depending on what specific relationship(s) you’re dealing with at the time the transit takes place. 7th and 8th house transits signify when making important relationship decisions and deciding if you want a future with someone and what that future looks like become bigger topics in your life. That might be happening with someone you’re dating, or it could be with a close friend or business partner.

But back to the astrology of marriage. First, I want to kick things off by talking about what astrology I considered when choosing a wedding date, before I get into why the 8th house is pretty much always emphasized at the time of marriage.
