Virgo Season Monthly Forecast
Sun in Virgo, Mercury retrograde in Virgo, Mars into Libra, full moon in Pisces, Venus retrograde ending, Jupiter retrograde beginning, new moon in Virgo, and sun opposite Neptune
Hello! I hope you’re all as excited as I am about Virgo season. Time to get organized and back on track. However, we start off this coming month in the midst of both Venus and Mercury retrogrades, so things may feel a bit delayed or confusing. By the middle of September you should have a better idea of what you need to be putting your energy towards. I’ve put the Virgo rising forecast at the top this time, so Aries-Leo risings, you’re scrolling to the bottom for yours. And I want to thank all of you paid subscribers again for your continued support and the kind messages you’ve sent me when you signed up! As we head into the fall, I will be working to expand the offerings you receive with your subscription.
The major underlying theme for the month ahead is that the sun is moving through Virgo, from August 23 through September 22. After the lazy, slow quality of Leo season, you will likely be ready to get back to work. You could be putting considerable thought into what job projects you want to pursue next or how you can make adjustments to your schedule to maximize your productivity. You will want to streamline your routine, so you might be waking up earlier, getting clear on what tasks are worth your energy, and also finding time to take care of your physical body. You could be picking back up with a regular exercise routine or experimenting with a new workout class. You may also be paying attention to what you eat and drink and overall want to take better care of yourself.
However, Mercury retrograde in Virgo will be taking place from August 23 - September 15, for almost the entirety of Virgo season. Therefore, all of the above themes might be a source of frustration for you at first. You may notice some delays with projects at work or be rethinking what health practices are best serving you. Rather than trying to push ahead with launching new projects or forming new partnerships, try slowing down and returning to past hobbies and ideas. You may also end up hearing from old friends or exes during this period, or you’re reflecting on an important conversation that needs to be had with someone.
September 6 will be the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde, with the sun and Mercury meeting up at 13 degrees of Virgo. The couple days surrounding this date may bring you greater clarity with anything that’s been bothering you. You could also be noticeably busier, especially with traveling, writing, speaking, or keeping track of a ton of small details. I always find that after this cazimi takes place, the second half of the retrograde is noticeably easier.
To backtrack a bit though, because we’ve jumped ahead, Mars is finally departing from Virgo and moving into Libra on August 27 until October 12. Rather than acting on what you want and being super assertive, you may be taking other people into consideration first over the coming weeks. You will want to put energy into relationships, either romantic or platonic. So you could be doing a lot more socializing, dating, or collaborating with people. Underlying relationship issues may need to be addressed during this time though.
A few days later there will be a full moon in Pisces on August 31. The Pisces full moon always tends to be more emotional than the other full moons. With the sun in Virgo and the moon in Pisces, it often sheds light on what is reality versus what is a made up fantasy in your head. The moon will also be closely conjunct Saturn, so there may be some tough realizations that are made around this time. You could be reflecting on who and what is worth committing to and has long term potential in your life, or you may simply feel a bit emotionally heavy. The full moon will also activate those ongoing Saturn in Pisces themes that have been taking place since early February.
On September 3, Venus retrograde ends and Venus will continue to be in Leo for the rest of Virgo season. If a relationship problem has been bothering you during the Venus retrograde, you might be resolving issues there or moving on. You could also notice that your social life picks up, and you’re more certain about what types of people you want in your life. You may also be clear on what image you want to portray or how you can best express your creativity.
As one retrograde ends though, another begins. September 4 is when Jupiter stations retrograde until December 31. Unlike a Mercury or Venus retrograde, this one is a lot more subtle. You may just notice a slowing down or more intense reflection taking place in the Taurus ruled part of your chart. A second wave of growth will take place starting on January 1, so don’t think you missed out on the positive effects of this Jupiter transit.
September 14 will bring a new moon in Virgo. However, on that same day Mercury will station direct, and a few days later the sun will move into an opposition with Neptune on the 18/19. Having these Virgo transits one after other aren’t the easiest, because first the planet moving through Virgo connects with Saturn and then Neptune days later. You will likely feel low energy around this few day period, or there’s still a bit of uncertainty or self doubt going on in that Virgo ruled house of your chart. It may feel like it’s taking a while for the effects of the Mercury retrograde to end, so try to stay patient around this time. You will likely be back to your usual, energetic self as we move into Libra season. Now, let’s get into what all of this means for your chart…
