Your Monthly Forecast #3
The Sun moves through Gemini and squares Saturn in Pisces, Mars is in Leo squaring Jupiter and opposing Pluto, full moon in Sagittarius, Venus into Leo, Mercury into Gemini, and a new moon in Gemini
I don't know about you, but last month was exhausting! I am so excited to transition into Gemini season and shake off all the sleepy energy of eclipse season and Mercury retrograde. In this edition of Your Monthly Forecast, we will be getting into the transits taking place during Gemini season, so from May 21 - June 21. Like usual, first I’m giving the general overview, then paid subscribers can keep reading to get your individual reading. Because it’s Gemini season, Gemini rising has been moved to the top, so Aries and Taurus risings you will be scrolling to the bottom.
As of yesterday, the Sun has moved into Gemini where it will remain for the next four weeks. Gemini season tends to be a more social time, where you’re eager to connect with people and trade ideas. You may also be curious to learn new information or engage in communication based work like reading, speaking, writing, or doing some type of visual storytelling. However, it’s not the most stable, grounded energy and you could feel pulled in a million different directions at this time.
In addition, from about May 25-May 28, the Sun in Gemini will be forming an exact square to Saturn in Pisces, awakening those overarching Saturn in Pisces themes. Revisit the March monthly forecast if you need a refresher on what Saturn in Pisces means for you specifically. During this few day period, you may feel a bit overwhelmed by responsibilities or have additional stress and pressure coming from a particular area of your life. You may also be facing the reality of a situation, and anything that doesn’t have long term potential may fall away at this time. Whereas the fixed sign seasons (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) tended to be the more challenging months over the past couple of years because of Saturn in Aquarius, now it has switched to the mutable sign seasons (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) being the periods that aren’t as light and fluffy, due to Saturn now being in Pisces.
During this same end of May time frame, Mars moves into Leo on May 20, where it will remain until early July. While Mars has been in Cancer (since end of March) you may have felt more tired or unsure of where to direct your energy, or you could have been occupied with family or emotional related matters. Now that Mars is moving into Leo, you will notice yourself feeling more playful and creative. You could be inspired to develop a passion project or inject your artistic talents into your work, or you’re ready to start dating and mingling with new people.
What’s very important to note about Mars moving into Leo is that it will immediately oppose Pluto in Aquarius and square both Jupiter in Taurus and the North and South Nodes in Taurus and Scorpio. I’ve been keeping my eye on this date for the past few months, as I expect this time period to be super eventful. This T-square will probably be felt the most intensely from about May 20-May 25, and will likely cause a surge of activity to occur across the Leo, Taurus and Aquarius ruled houses of your chart. If you’ve felt unmotivated recently, you may suddenly have the desire to take action and make a firm decision or initiate something you’ve been procrastinating on. However, try to be wary of taking on more than you can handle. With that square to Jupiter, you end up biting off more than you can chew.
I also wanted to note that although Mercury retrograde is over, Mercury will still be moving through the sign of Taurus until June 11, so for the majority of Gemini season. Once we get to early June, its post shadow period will have fully lifted, so projects involving detailed planning, communication, writing and speaking will be picking up speed. If there’s been any area of your life that has been causing you confusion, you will probably have a lot more clarity there as the month goes on.
On June 3, there will be a full moon in Sagittarius. If you’re ahead of EST, then it will be occurring in the early morning of June 4. The days immediately surrounding June 3 will likely be the busiest out of the entire month, as you launch projects at work, hear back about opportunities or connect with friends and family. A Sagittarius full moon tends to be optimistic, where you may feel positive about your next steps or you’re feeling more connected to your faith or spirituality. Foreign travel or a desire to learn and educate yourself may be themes that pop up as well. The ruler of this full moon, Jupiter, will be exactly conjunct the North Node at the time, so that may give you an extra push to put yourself out there in some way in order to keep growing as an individual.
On June 5, Venus will move into Leo, joining Mars there. This will be a much more romantic and flirty energy, or you could be more confident in taking risks with your personal style and appearance. Again, you might also feel particularly creative. Typically Venus will only stay in a sign for about 4 weeks, but it will be Leo until mid-October because of its retrograde later this summer. I will get more into what Venus retrograde means in a couple of months, closer to its start date, but for now take note of what themes are popping up for you in the Leo ruled house of your chart, as they will likely be super important for a good portion of the year.
On June 11, Mercury finally leaves Taurus and moves into Gemini. This is great news, because Mercury rules the sign of Gemini, so it can function to its full capacity in this sign. Therefore, the end of June will be an ideal time to develop communication based projects like writing, public speaking, presentations, videos, podcasts, etc. You will probably be more mentally stimulated and find yourself curious to learn about a variety of different topics.
The last major event taking place will be the new moon in Gemini on June 18. Yes, the sun has been transiting through Gemini for almost a month by this point, but this new moon may be a push that you need to see greater action take place in the Gemini ruled house of your chart. It may bring up new opportunities, relationships, or mindsets that you will see continue to develop as we enter Cancer season. This new moon will also be squaring Neptune, so in the days immediately surrounding June 18, you may feel extra sensitive or you could be a bit confused about a new start. You may come to realize where you need to set better boundaries or develop more self confidence, or you might be leaning into spiritual or artistic pursuits.
Now, let’s get into what all of this means for you specifically…
