August Discussion: Sharing Your Nodal Experiences
What happened when the Nodes were in Taurus/Scorpio for you?
For this month’s sharing session, we are focusing on the Nodes moving out of Taurus/Scorpio and into Aries/Libra, and what that has looked like for you personally. I went over what this Aries/Libra nodal transition means for each rising sign in your Cancer season monthly forecast, but I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to share exactly what happened over the past 1.5 - 2 years while the nodes were moving through the Taurus and Scorpio ruled houses of their chart. That way, the rising sign that is about to enter into that same nodal transit will have a better idea of what to expect. The whole purpose of this particular discussion based newsletter each month is to ground astrology in real life examples in the comments section, so that you aren’t having so much anxiety about upcoming transits.
The transit North and South Nodes (currently in Aries and Libra) circled above.
So to first go back to the basics, you can track the transits of the North and South Nodes by locating where the horseshoe symbols are in relation to your birth chart. The current location of the nodes is shown in the outer circle, where the symbols are in orange. The North Node is the upright horseshoe, while the South Node is upside down horseshoe, as seen in the diagram above. The Nodes move backwards through the signs, against the direction of the planets. They can always be found transiting through a pair of signs (and therefore houses in your chart) that are opposite to one another, so whatever houses they’re activating is where you’re likely experiencing major developments and change take place over a 1.5 - 2 year time frame. Also, whatever signs the Nodes are transiting through is indicative of where the solar and lunar eclipses are taking place that year. The North Node moved from Taurus backwards into Aries on July 17, while the South Node moved from Scorpio backwards into Libra. So we are closing out the Taurus/Scorpio eclipse cycle, and moving into the Aries/Libra eclipses.
While there is still a final Taurus lunar eclipse that will take place on October 28, 2023, we’re essentially done with that nodal cycle and entering into the next one. Below is a timeline of key dates that occurred while the Nodes were in Taurus/Scorpio to jog your memory a bit.
