Your Monthly Forecast #4
The Sun moves through Cancer, Sun + Mercury cazimi in Cancer, full moon in Capricorn, Mars into Virgo, Mercury into Leo, the Nodes officially move into Aries and Libra, and a new moon in Cancer
Welcome back to your monthly forecast: Cancer season edition! In this month’s forecast newsletter for paid subscribers, we will first be going through all the transits that are happening during Cancer season (June 21-July 22) before I get into what all of this means for you individually. Overall though, there’s not a ton of huge shifts taking place over the next month, so you will hopefully be enjoying some peace and calm before the Venus retrograde arrives next month. I’ve put Cancer rising first, so if you are Aries, Taurus or Gemini rising, you will be scrolling to the bottom this time. And there’s a newsletter for all subscribers, not just paid, that is coming over the weekend/early next week, so stay tuned for that.
The main underlying theme that will be going on for the next four weeks is the Sun being in Cancer. Typically, Cancer season brings up more emotions, and it may have you wanting to spend time with family or with your closest friends. If you’re dating, you may be looking for someone that can offer you a greater sense of security, or you could be willing to open up and be vulnerable about how you’re feeling with someone. In addition, you might get super into self care practices and want to find ways to better nurture yourself. The ways in which you're doing this nurturing will differ depending on what house is ruled by Cancer in your chart.
Even though it’s Cancer season though, we did just have a new moon in Gemini take place on June 18. So for the next couple of weeks, you could still be seeing developments take place in that Gemini ruled house of your chart.
On June 27, Mercury will join the Sun in Cancer, and from June 30-July 2, they will be right around the same degree. Therefore, Mercurial themes will be especially important around this time. You could be super busy with socializing, meeting up with people, traveling around, or engaging in writing or learning. It may simply be that you feel a bit anxious or your mind just can’t relax.
On July 3, there will be a full moon in Capricorn, which actually looks quite pleasant. Having a full moon in this earth sign means that you may be particularly focused on work and responsibilities, and you may be reflecting on what type of job or other tasks are the most meaningful to you around this time. These first few days of July will also likely be the busiest days out of the entire month. The full moon forms a trine with Jupiter too, so you may see positive growth and advancements take place in both the Capricorn and Taurus ruled houses of your chart. If you need a refresher on the Jupiter in Taurus transit and what it means for you specifically, revisit the monthly forecast from April.
In the midst of all of these other transits happening, Venus and Mars are both moving through Leo, which we covered last month. Venus is essentially chasing Mars over the next month, and they remain very close to each other for several weeks. Therefore, you may notice more action taking place with Venusian themes, like spending a lot of money, or putting extra energy into socializing, dating, or creative endeavors. However, there may be tension in a relationship that you need to address.
On July 11 Mercury will move into Leo as well, further amplifying that Leo ruled house of your chart. You may be extra creatively inspired around this date, or you could be especially confident in voicing your ideas and opinions.
Backtracking a bit to July 10, Mars will finally make its way into Virgo after being in Leo since the end of May. This will be a total “back to work” kind of vibe, especially because Mars will immediately move into an opposition with Saturn once it enters Virgo. You could find yourself wanting to get organized, and you may up a more efficient routine around this time, or you could be taking your physical health a lot more seriously. However, you might feel weighed down by responsibilities, or you could be facing the harsh reality of a certain situation. The Mars-Saturn opposition goes exact on July 21, so you may be feeling the above energy building in the lead up to this date.
The biggest event for the month is that on July 17 the Nodes will change signs, with the North Node moving into Aries and the South Node moving into Libra. They’ve been in Taurus and Scorpio since January 2022, so this is a major shift. We have already felt this transition a bit with the Aries solar eclipse that took place this spring, but now that the nodes are officially changing signs, the Aries and Libra parts of your chart will become a huge focus from now until early 2025. Wherever the nodes are transiting in your chart is where the eclipses are taking place, so expect change and significant personal growth to occur in the houses ruled by Aries and Libra.
Finally, we end the month with a new moon in Cancer on July 17. So if by this date you haven’t noticed the full extent of activity taking place in the Cancer ruled house of your chart, this new moon will likely set things into motion. The new moon is a great time to hit the refresh button, and you may notice new opportunities, projects, relationships, or even mindsets are started in the days that follow as we close out Cancer season. The new moon is also opposite to Pluto, so you may be shedding things that aren’t working for you in order to transform and enter into that next chapter of your life.
Let’s find out what all of the above means for your individual chart…
